It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was running to the post box with a few slices of cake in my hand, the last five years have flown by. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement, it really does mean a lot to us. I remember the first time I went on Twitter and thought “what’s this all about then?” To the good friends I met there, who showed me the way such as @coffeecurls @takepath42 and @colinshelbourn you are fabulous. I think @e_nation #watercoolermoment was the best start any business could have for an introduction to social media.
I has become we as we have grown. I’m sure many of you know that I set up The Cake Nest around our small children, as they grew so did our business. Steve joined us in 2011 and we’ve haven’t looked back. The dedication that we can bring to this has meant that we could move premises into a commercial building back in 2013 and take on staff. We are really enjoying working with the local community such as providing Christmas Tea Parties to the visitors at Blythe House and giving out push pops to local school leavers, we are always happy to support local causes.
However, this is all possible because of you, our customers so we thought that we should run a competition. We know that many of you don’t actually get to try the tasty treats we send so we thought that you deserved something more. Firstly, the first 5 orders placed on our website from today will receive a slice of cake themselves to enjoy for free. Secondly, everyone can enjoy 5% off their order until the end of the month by using the code “5today”. And finally comment below for a chance of winning a year of cake!
I’m off now to see what birthday cake we are going to have, promise to save you a slice!
And the winner of our Year of Cake is Jill Green! Thank you so much for all your lovely comments
