Pay it Forward day is here, it’s time to reach out! It’s as simple as 1, 2, 3!

This is the seventhyear the UK is officially celebrating Pay it Forward Day on the 28thApril 2017. To begin withpeople are invited to join a worldwide movement in performing random acts of kindness. Each person completes 3 or more and asks those helpedto do the same. Last year, people in75x countries took part in Pay it Forward Day. So let’s see how far this can go.
Where did the idea begin?Pay it Forward by Catherine Ryan Hyde
Initially, the idea of Pay it Forward Day camefrom the book, and subsequent film, Pay it Forward. This tells the story of a young boy who does 3 good deeds for others in need. All the child asks in return is that they pass on the good deed to three other people and keep the cycle going. It’s a touching story, which tugs at heart strings. Reminding us that sometimes it’s the simple things that we need the most.
Who can join in Pay it Forward?
Everyone! Since anyone can participate in Pay it Forward, here are some ideas to get you started. Cut the lawn for an elderly neighbour, say helloto a passerby,
send a slice of cake, pay for someone’s parking, the list is endless. All you need to do is do something for someone else without expecting anything in return. Then all you need to do is ask them to do the same to 3 more people. Finally, you can do this anytime, it’s not dependent on a certain date really!
